Kasen - City/Nature Combination Shoot

Kasen isn't like any other senior I've ever photographed.  She's wise beyond her years, super easy-going, and already well-traveled at her age.  Her mom, likewise, was so fun and interesting to converse with.When Kasen and her mom bought me a caramel latte at our shoot, which automatically made them my new besties, I was like "girl, you're getting some extra shoot time." ;-)During the pre-session consult, I asked Kasen what her hobby was, and she said "I like drinking tea!"  As you know, tea is a huge part of asian culture.  I consume multiple cups a day, and in our culture, it is believed that tea is the secret elixir to a healthy body and skin. I decided then there that Kasen was a smart gal.  She clearly knows the good things in life.Oversized denim jacket + Adidas shoes = one of my favorite combinations ever.As you can tell, the wind was blowing like crazy that day, but my girl held it together like a champ and just played along.  I actually love that the wind created a different feel to the photographs.  It made the photos feel more real and raw, and the movement it created was beautiful.After we finished our city section of the shoot, I took Kasen to my spot with the blooming flowers.  It's so sad that the pretty flowers in the spring time barely last a week and a half.  When it blooms so beautifully like that, I seize every opportunity I can with my seniors to go there.How crazy gorgeous is Kasen in her prom dress?  Seriously Cinderella worthy.I also did two detailed art edits for the below two photos for the wall portrait.  So pretty!After the shoot, Kasen and her mom asked me for recommendations for an Indian restaurant in Houston. I almost teared up a little at the questions because I was beaming with pride.  I love Indian food, and I have to drag my husband just to get some.  It's rare to find non-Indians that love Indian food, so officially Kasen and her mom are in my book of awesome people.If you're wondering the answer to great Indian in Houston, Biryani Pot has the most authentic and delicious Indian food (according to my knowledge), but it's kind of a drive.  However, within the city, I LOVE Pondicheri - it's seriously delicious ya'll.
