Spring & Summer 2017 Fashion Trends

Statement Stripes

Your closet might be already filled with B&W striped shirts, but this season is all about making a splash with colorful statement stripes!  Sydney's striped culottes are the perfect breezy pants for hot summers in Houston, and she made the look bolder with a vintage red ruffled top.

Ruffled and Oversized Sleeves

Taking a cue from the 70s, ruffled and oversized sleeves are back, and they look good on everyone.  The bellowing sleeves will diminish your waist and adds a bit of sass to your overall look.

Vibrant Green

Harper's is wearing a color not often worn, but photographs beautifully and gives off a refreshing feeling.  The straw pineapple clutch with a bright red lip completes the perfect spring/summer brunch look.

Did you know that pineapples are a sign of welcome, friendship, and hospitality?  If you look close enough, you can often find event folks or hoteliers wear pineapple pins or own something pineapple related.

Florals

If there's one Spring/Summer trend that is guaranteed to never be out of style is florals.  This year, we're seeing lots of floral prints and even floral appliqués.  We love these two pieces we found at Everly Oak.

Banker Stripes

This print has long been used for men's wear and business professionals, but it's being adapted into more feminine silhouettes this season.

Bold Bright Colors

Our theme throughout our Spring/Summer trend shoot revolved around bold and bright colors.  Incorporating these colors into your photoshoot will make your photos more vibrant and really pop in camera.
