Hareem - Nature Photoshoot

The flowers bloomed very early this year; even before the trees were fully green.  Hareem's photoshoot was the only one that was timed perfectly to have pink Azaleas and greenery.  Her Indian saree paired perfectly in the nature environment.  We then went into the city for some of her more form fitting outfits that showed a sassier, more sophisticated side of her.  Read her interview below.

Tell us a little bit about yourself - what you like to do for fun or what type of activities are you involved in?

For fun, besides watching my monthly Netflix obsession, I love to sketch, dance, travel,and volunteer at the women's center or on the Junior Fashionista Board

What did you want your senior photos to convey about you and your personality?

I wanted my senior photos to show the feminine side of me, but also my personality such as the Indian dress showed a part of my culture, the pictures in the city showed how much I love the city and I for sure know I am going to be spending most of my life there, and the pictures in the park showcased the beauty in nature I always love looking at.

What is one tip you can share with others about the portrait process now that you've gone through it?

The biggest tip would be to be yourself and have fun, but also go have everything prepared before hand with all your outfits and accessories all together so each scene can transition very smoothly. Also, just trust your photographer, they're the best at what they do and know how to make you look like a princess the whole time.

LWP photoshoots are designed as an experience for our seniors to discover or rediscover their own beauty. What is your PERSONAL definition of "true beauty?"

I believe true beauty is when your reflection of what you are like on the outside reflects what you are like on the inside. If you are someone who is high spirited, that should shine through you. I think true beauty is who you truly are in your heart. True beauty is exerted from you internally. Such as, if someone does not know what you look like, your true beauty should be exuberated and they should automatically know you are beautiful no matter what.


Who is someone that inspires you?

Someone that inspires me in my family is my dad because I want to succeed just like he had. Another person that inspires me is Emma Watson with her fashion, personality, and all that confidence she shows, mostly about things she is passionate about.

What are some dreams, goals, or aspirations that you have for the future?

Some goals I have for the future is to go to college, travel places I've never seen before and if I can help the less unfortunate while doing that, that would be great. I would also love to go into fashion marketing and work my way up and get to work with big designers and one day become a fashion coordinator. Besides that my biggest goal is to always stay happy and positive, no matter what the situation.

What is something you are looking forward to in the next few months?

In the next few months, I am looking forward to going to college. I have not picked a specific one at the moment, but I definitely know I am going into fashion marketing. I am also looking forward to finally going to Europe this summer, as I have travelled to many countries in the world, but never one in Europe.
