Sometimes we can plan and plan, but the day will unfold how it wants to.

Katlyn and I had planned to shoot at Kemah and do a really cute "fun time at the fair" theme for her session. Well, we got stuck in traffic on the way because there were so many cars driving to Kemah. When we arrived, I couldn't find parking, and it took me 20 minutes to find a spot. In my mind, I was thinking "oh my goodness, how is this even going to work?"  There was no way we could even shoot at the boardwalk because there were just too many people. Then I thought, maybe I could take them to Seabrook, TX.Not a chance!  Traffic was going to take another 30 minutes.  By then, we would be loosing too much light.

I did what I had to do, which was make lemonade out of lemon.

I can't tell you how happy I am with this session. Me, my intern Giselle, and Katlyn's family, we all hobbled around the outskirts of Kemah matching her outfits to the different surroundings. The session was a huge success, and her family loved the photos. Mom even teared up during the photo slideshow, and that to me, is a job well done. :)
