Zane Wommack
Zane and I have known each other since high school. There are some bonds you just don't break, and when you've played in the same church band together, it doesn't matter if you haven't seen each other in a long time, you're still family. When we met up to do this session, neither one of us really knew what was going to happen. It wasn't planned really. I've been wanting to try some new techniques with artificial light, and Zane needed photos, so we decided on a date and time, and both of us showed up. He showed up with his guitar, and I showed up with all my lighting equipment.Once I set everything up, I asked him to play me some music. For about an hour and a half, I listened and photographed. In between songs, snippets of musical whimsy, and me moving around the light, we chatted and shared stories. I felt very privileged to have capture these moments on camera. The photos to me are history: a memory of the conversation we had together.
